Missy & Holly shared their vows in front of their favourite people, while standing under the beautiful ponga fronds. We asked them to share their favourite memories and this is what they told us:

What is your favourite memory of the day?

Where do we even begin?! We feel like our entire wedding day was so magical. From the first look, to walking down the aisle, to the ceremony, to our amazing photoshoot and finally getting to celebrate with all our favourite people. We couldn’t possibly pick one stand out memory when everything was just EPIC! 

What surprised you on the day? 

How quickly the day went by!! We had been told that the day goes quickly but, wow, it really does! Also happily surprised by how great the weather ended up, we were SO stressed about rain and it all worked out perfectly! 

What was one thing you wish you had known before planning your wedding? 

We feel like we went into this wedding with our eyes wide open. We asked a lot of people for advice and tips so that we could be as prepared as possible and that really helped to keep the unwanted surprises away! However, if we could somehow know how to control the weather – that would be great!! 

What’s your advice for future couples? 

Prepare your photo list – are there certain people you want photos with, or certain shots that would be special to you. NO pity invites, despite what anyone says!! You want to share your special day with a select group of people and not feel obliged to invite certain individuals. 

The MOST important advice of all is that you don’t have to follow a traditional wedding style. Question things and why you are doing them to make sure your wedding is perfect for you – not just take the “that’s the way it’s always been done” approach. 

What is your favourite photo and why? 

Ummm how do we even answer this when we literally love ALL of our photos!! From the beautiful greenery shots, to a secret blossom location to the most epic rain photos and everything in between – there is no way we can pick a favourite!!
