Davence and Lily’s summer wedding was held at the Kumeu Valley Estate with family, friends and Honey (their gorgeous border collie). Davence and Lily chose to hold their ceremony in the forest before heading off to Muriwai Beach for photos. We asked them about some of their favourite memories, and here is what Davence had to say…

What is your favourite memory of the day?

It is hard to pick, but at a nudge seeing Lily walk down the aisle.

What surprised you on the day? 

How smoothly and fun the whole day was!! Haha

What was one thing you wish you had known before planning your wedding? 

If I knew Lily was gonna be so late, I would have packed some more food and delayed the start so we could stay at the venue until later.

What’s your advice for future couples? 

Have fun. People are here to celebrate you. Don’t stress. Everything will be okay, and if it’s not okay, it’s because it’s not finished yet. 

What is your favourite photo and why

Aside from the sunset photos. The image of Honey and Lily giving each other a Hi 5 during the wedding preparation haha. Just an adorable image, and I can hear Honey’s voice saying “You got this Mum”.
