Tawharanui Lodge Wedding | Auckland Wedding Photographer

Long before their wedding day, I knew Chanelle and Bradley’s Tawharanui Lodge Wedding was going to be a goodie.
From our very first conversation Chanelle’s enthusiasm was absolutely contagious (even receiving a message from Chanelle is literally filled sparkling emoji’s!) so it was no surprise that the gods smiled down on them and they had the PERFECT day.

Chanelle and Bradley had mentioned that they were less beach people and more forest people. The ever changing Matakana landscape meant that a few of my favourite locations have now gone, so we were back to square one finding them the perfect spot. It took a couple of visits and many hours of scouring google maps, but we found it! An amazing nook filled not only with gorgeous mature trees, but also incredible tropical looking foliage.
I realised pretty quickly that the best view of the day was going to be from up high, so come their wedding day, I lugged our 6 foot ladder off into the bush. Stoked to say it was worth it!

Because we had taken the bulk of their photos earlier in the day, after their ceremony Chanelle and Bradley were able to chill out with their guests and pop out down the road for sunset at the perfect moment!
When we arrived at our sunset spot – I don’t know who was more excited – them or me. Actually, that’s a lie. It was me. But it was close.

Chanelle and Bradley, it has been such a pleasure getting to know you guys.
