Lucky and Shuruthi’s wedding story began with a proposal of epic proportions. Shuruthi and a friend were visiting Japan, while Lucky secretly plotted a surprise visit to join them. Shuruthi thought this visit was the only surprise, but after an amazing helicopter flight to view Mt Fuji and the cherry blossoms – Lucky got down on one knee and proposed. It’s certainly hard to plan a wedding that lives up to that kind of proposal, but Lucky and Shuruthi pulled it off!
Lucky and Shuruthi chose to acknowledge their different religious backgrounds with two days of ceremonies. Day one was their traditional Indian ceremony at the Auckland museum. Day two was their Catholic ceremony at the stunning St Mary’s in Parnell followed by a reception at The Hilton on Auckland’s viaduct.
One of the many beautiful things about celebrating over multiple locations and days, meant that we were able to sneak in some epic portraits at so many different spots. There was the grand museum foyer, a golden glow at a native forest and tropical foliage in Parnell.
