Indian Wedding Photographer Auckland
Hey there! We know that planning an Indian wedding celebration is a huge undertaking. So you need to know you’re in safe hands with your wedding photos and film.
WHY PERSPECTIVES FOR INDIAN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY? OUR APPROACH
We have over ten years experience photographing and filming a wide variety of Indian Weddings and we feel right at home. We know that families have often played a large role in the planning of your wedding, and we want to do justice to the traditions and customs that play such a large part of your day. But more than that – we want your wedding to be personalised and paint a genuine picture of your celebration. Just because you are following in the footsteps of tradition – doesn’t mean you can’t put your own unique stamp on your wedding. We capture the little moments and the big ones. From the Mehendi and the Haldi events through to the reception – we love telling the whole story.
We know the structure of an Indian Wedding and can be in the right place at the right time. We know when to take a step back, and when to get right in there with all the chaos and fun. Our photos and films feel intimate and personal and we want your personalities to shine through it all.
We’ve collated a few of our favourite Indian wedding photos and films as well as a few helpful tips to keep everyone happy and your celebration running smoothly.
ENGAGEMENT & ADVENTURE SESSIONS
If your wedding day schedule is starting to look rather full and you’re struggling to find a little time for you and your fiancé – an adventure session is an awesome chance to spend some time together and reflect on what it’s all about. You can take a big breath and get some of those amazing sunset photos you always wanted. We can show you some of our favourite places, or be inspired by some of yours.
Engagement photo sessions can be in casual clothes, formal attire or you can even get dressed back up into your wedding outfits and do some post-wedding photos – it’s completely up to you.
Chandanna and Sai knew that their five day wedding was going to be non-stop – so before it all began they escaped to Bethells beach to say their personal vows to each other. We played this film before their reception entrance and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
PRE WEDDING CEREMONIES AT INDIAN WEDDINGS – MEHENDI, HALDI AND SANGEET.
We love getting to know everyone right when the events are kicking off. We get an insight into the personalities of your family and friends and get to capture everyone coming together. Your friends and family get used to having us around and by day three of your wedding – we are part of the family.
The getting ready part of the day is one of the most underrated parts of a wedding celebration. It’s a time when those closest to you gather around and you get ready to become a husband or a wife! The nerves start to build, details that have been thought about for months finally come together and it’s a chance on your wedding day to just be yourself.
INDIAN WEDDING CEREMONY
We’re very familiar with a huge range of different Indian wedding ceremonies, but we will always run through your wedding ceremony with you to make sure we know all the key moments that are happening. We’ll ask you how you want to plan your group and family photos (it’s a great idea to decide ahead of time if you’d like to allocate time to get a photo with each of your guests or if you’d like to keep it to more immediate family and friends) and make sure this runs like clockwork.
We’ll capture the formal family photos afterwards, but also the less formal blessings and congratulations – the photos that will make you smile for years to come.
One of the wonderful aspects of having us cover your entire event is that we are able to sneak in a few moments for some creative location photos. Sometimes this is just a few minutes during a dinner break, and often this is on the morning or evening of other events. You can even dedicate a separate day to heading out to a great location and making the most of your wedding attire.
We work with your wedding schedule and ideas and then hunt out some amazing spots for you – it’s all taken care of.
INDIAN WEDDING RECEPTION – THE PARTY!
We pride ourselves on being lighting geeks and this is a part of the day where we get to shine. Indoor lighting can be tricky and it’s important to capture the mood and atmosphere you have worked so hard to create. We have a range of tricks up our sleeve so we can create epic images at this important time of your day. Speeches, performances and an epic dance floor – we will capture it all.
PRICING FOR INDIAN WEDDINGS
Ok – the big question. How does it all work for multi-day weddings?
Firstly – you choose which of our packages will suit you best for your main ceremony day. Our shortest coverage option is 8 hours for photography and 10 hours for video and goes up from there. We’re in this with you for as long as you need us there.
You can have a look through our base packages here.
