Tawharanui Lodge wedding photos

Hannah & Rob met one another while shipmates together in the Navy. Eventually, Hannah was posted off to another ship… and Rob decided that he’d rather not have to be without her. So he threw her a leaving party… but only the two of them were invited. That’s one impressive first date!
Since then, they’ve traveled around the world together, bound by a shared loved of the ocean, the outdoors, watching rugby, and Dad jokes. When Hannah deployed to Hawaii – Rob flew over for a 2 week holiday (during which Hannah accidentally found the engagement ring hidden in Rob’s things – twice.)
Fast forward from a Waikiki beach sunset proposal, to another stunning sunset at Tawharanui Lodge on their wedding day!
There was a bit of drama in the morning while hair & makeup preparations were underway… a sharp ‘crack’ sound came from outside. The huge tree – under which the ceremony would take place – had just lost a massive branch. Luckily it happened while no-one was standing underneath!
Cue some last minute pruning – and the ceremony was back on track.
After they were pronounced husband & wife, we headed up the road for a few quick shots at the beach – and then it was back to Tawharanui Lodge to party the night away. During the evening, we had the most incredible sunset – within the space of 5 minutes the sky went from nothing, to MAGICAL.. and back to nothing again. Talk about right place, right time!
With a bucket of sparklers to wrap things up, everyone had the most amazing day. We’re stoked that you invited us along to share a part in it with you.
