Jane + Rory
Mantells on the Water wedding photos
Photographed by Isaac & Patty
Jane and Rory met one another when they were 16 years old, and have been together ever since!
They’ve moved cities, survived long-distance, changed careers, and collected so many stories and memories along the way.
I always find it so special photographing a wedding for a couple that have known one another for a long period – there’s an extra layer below the typical ‘in love’ that everyone experiences on their wedding day… a strong, comfortable connection that doesn’t need words.
Rory and Jane decided to meet up with one another earlier in the day for a ‘first look’ moment – which is both a great way to minimise any pre-wedding nerves, and also means you don’t end up ditching your guests for a long period of time while you go off for photographs after the ceremony.
It was a perfect, not-a-cloud-in-the-sky kind of blue day – so we found photo locations that allowed for plenty of shade!
Later in the evening at Mantells on the Water, I noticed a bit of lovely golden sunlight skimming over the boats in the marina outside – and Jane + Rory were only too happy to sneak outdoors for a few shots at my favourite time of day!
The band kicked off, and they partied into the night – a stunning day & one that we were truly honoured to share a part in.
This is just a tiny preview of the photos from the day – there are hundreds more to follow soon.
Enjoy!
