Pullman Auckland Wedding

Robyn and Jay are high school sweethearts. They met at Avondale College – where we caught up for an engagement shoot a few months ago. As we wandered about the school grounds, Robyn and Jay both clearly remembered the exact places where they first crossed paths. I loved revisiting these places with them, so it was a perfect crossover to take some of their wedding photos at Silo Park – just a few hundred metres from where Jay proposed to Robyn.
Jay and Robyn both have such strong ties to their family, so when Jay mentioned that he was going to pay his respects at the grave sites of his elders on the morning of his wedding – we knew this was something important to capture for them.
Robyn and Jay had an impressive bridal party of 29 people, so we wanted do something epic with such a cool group. The museum stairs provided the perfect grand backdrop for us to flex our lighting muscles and create a ‘vogue style’ shot just for them.
Their reception was overflowing with performances by their incredibly talented friends and family (seriously – it was like being at a concert!) and it was a real testament to what a great couple they are, that so many people wanted to share their musical gifts with them.
