Crystal and Jak’s Kumeu Valley Wedding

Crystal and Jak’s cosy wedding ceremony was held in the Merlot room at Kumeu Valley Estate, in front of some of their favourite people. We asked them to look back and reflect on their day, so read on to get some tips before planning your magical day.

What is your favourite memory of the day?

Seeing one another for the first time at the venue, and seeing our vision for our wedding day (and the two years of planning) come to life! Also, seeing everyone so happy! 

What surprised you on the day? 

How calm we both were! 

What was one thing you wish you had known before planning your Kumeu Valley wedding? 

I’m not sure – our day was literally perfect and not one thing went wrong. The only hiccup was that the wrong song was played when we entered our reception with our bridal party, but my husband and I loved the song so much anyway that we didn’t care!

What’s your advice for future couples? 

It’s about the two of you and nobody else. 

What is your favourite photo and why? 

All the photos of us on the hill, my husband was crying non stop through all of them! It was also the first time throughout the day we felt alone, and could just soak in all the fun of the ceremony.
