Courtney and Jack’s magical Kumeu Valley Wedding

Kumeu Valley Estate is a beautiful venue for your wedding day. We love shooting there and know all the right places to get magical sunset photos, like the one above. If we are able to take you away for a golden hour photoshoot, this is also the time to enjoy being just the two of you, as Courtney and Jack mention in their advice for future couples.
What is your favourite memory of the day?
Jack – Seeing Courtney walk down the aisle, that made it feel real.
Courtney – Entering the hall in front of all of our family and friends and being introduced as husband and wife for the first time.
What surprised you on the day?
Jack – A pre-recorded video speech of a friend of mine who couldn’t make it from overseas.
Courtney – How quickly the day went by. Time flew by because we were having such a great time.
What’s your advice for future couples?
Both – Set aside ten minutes in your schedule to escape the party and guests to just reflect as newly weds on your day. Taking time for just us was such an important part of our night, we are really glad we did it.
What is your favourite photo and why?
Jack – Both laughing with the sun setting behind us.
Courtney – Either the picture of Jack and I when I have the microphone and we are laughing (below), or the one where I am reading my vows to practise when I was getting ready.
Putting a gallery together for Courtney and Jack was not difficult, there were so many emotive moments, laughter, tears, nerves and so much love; and you can see this in each image below.
