What is your favourite memory of the day?
The whole experience! But what made it extra special was having all of our close family and friends together to support us on our special day. From the ceremony to the reception, I’ll always look back on our wedding and smile, thinking about the special people we had around us. This also included the amazing team at Markovina Vineyard Estate and Perspectives Photo & Cinema, who made sure the whole experience was unforgettable!
What surprised you on the day?
How relaxed we felt! Between the amazing venue, vendors, friends and family we had around us, we knew everything was in good hands which enabled us to savour every moment of our wedding day.
What was one thing you wish you had known before planning your wedding?
I consider myself fortunate that my background is in event planning! Between that and meeting with a wedding planner beforehand, I was confident I had a good understanding of what I needed to do before getting into it.
What’s your advice for future couples planning a Markovina wedding?
Securing the venue, your celebrant, and your photographer/videographer early on is important. And on the day, my advice is to enjoy every single moment! Everyone is coming together to celebrate your love for one another and it’s such a magical feeling.
What is your favourite photo and why?
One of our favourite photos is us holding each other during the golden hour! We had an overcast day for much of our wedding and, as if by magic, an opening appeared in the sky for a few minutes close to where we happened to be standing at the time, and the sun came pouring through with that beautiful golden light. We feel the happiness we felt was captured in those stunning photos (photos above and below).
