The Boat House, Riverhead

How many brides do you know that would be up at 6am on the morning of their wedding, in the dark and the rain to complete their boot-camp training programme?! Not many I can assure you! I have to admit, that when I awoke to a storm that morning – I really didn’t think that the girls would be going ahead, but there isn’t much that would stop them, so I donned my jacket and boots and drove through the debris covering the road to join them.
Audrey is one incredible lady – I think I could even go so far as to call her the anti-bridezilla (proven by the fact that she even put the wedding ribbons on the car herself – fully dressed and ready to go!)
Luckily, Audrey has an equally chilled, hard working awesome other half. Dave and the boys spent the morning running errands and making sure everything was perfect at the venue (code for heading down to the adjoining pub for a beer). It was such a pleasure getting to know these guys and their hard case bridal party.
Because we had been preparing for the worst possible weather all week, we were just that little bit extra stoked that by the time we were set to lead off for photos, the worst of it had passed – we even saw a snippet of blue sky! They made it through 90% of the ceremony outdoors under The Boat House’s  landmark tree, before the rain chased us all inside – but you know what they say – you don’t get rainbows without a little rain.
