Sorrento in the Park Wedding

Nilu and Kirushi had two wedding days in one. They had a traditional wedding ceremony at Sorrento in the Park in the morning, and then carried on their party to Kumeu Valley Estate for their evening function. Weddings can be a long day at the best of times – let alone when you need to get up at 4am. Nilu and Kirushi’s energy and enthusiasm was amazing. As we were arriving to get ready for the second part of the day – I said to Nilu “are you sure you don’t just want to have a power nap?” – her answer was that she wanted to be present and enjoy every minute of their wedding day – the sleeping could wait.
Throughout the hustle of the wedding day, there were a few moments of quiet for them and these are some of my favourite photos. There’s one about half way down that just sums up how much these guys love and support each other through everything (hint: it’s the one by the front door).
