We were fortunate enough to capture the first part of Punam and Anuj’s wedding celebration. Much like their relationship to date – their wedding is going to be across two cities.
What we really noticed with Punam and Anuj’s wedding is that it was so much more than two people getting married – but two families coming together. We were able to join each of their families for their pre-wedding ceremonies. They timed these so that the events happened almost simultaneously. It was so cool to see from these events side by side and see the similarities coming through of what Zahn and I captured.

Their ceremonies were held largely at the Shree Swaminarayan Temple in Papatoetoe. This has to be one of the most photogenic places we have been fortunate enough to visit and we can’t wait to see the event centre that is being built on-site.

Rewind a few weeks and we were also lucky enough to capture what was one of the best Muriwai adventures we’ve had! We explored some of our favourite forest areas and then headed out to the rocks for sunset. It was one of those days where I had 50/50 odds on getting a sunset or not. The cloud was starting to gather at the horizon and it could have gone either way! Luckily the odds were in our favour and the sunset was perfect!

Punam and Anuj had decided to take a moment during their adventure photos to share vows with each other. The waves were crashing around them, and I have no idea what they said to each other, but tears were shed and it’s a moment I won’t forget.
