Gothic Wedding at Saint Leonards Brewing in Auckland

When Hannah first got in touch and told us she was getting married at Saint Leonards Brewing (aka the coolest new kid brewery on the block) I was stoked and gushed about how much I loved it there. It was only when she replied with something like “thanks, we’ve been working really hard on it” that I realised that Rory (and by default Hannah) are part owners, and theirs would be the first ever wedding there.

I got even more excited as Hannah described her black wedding dress, and Rory’s velvet green jacket and how they wanted to take the all the photos on site at the brewery – and lean into the dark and moody. Honestly you can’t get much better than that!

We here at Perspectives are big cheerleaders for all our clients, but I want to cheer extra loudly for what Hannah and Rory (and Vlad!) have done at Saint Leonards. Not only is the beer phenomenal (I’m a huge beer snob and hand on my heart the ‘Meditations’ brew is the best beer I’ve ever had) but the space they have created is a piece of paradise in suburbia. Central enough that your guests can Uber there no troubles (or even catch the train!) but the garden space feels tucked away and private.

Since their wedding they’ve even installed a retractable roof over the garden, so you can guarantee to be hanging of the beer garden whatever Auckland weather throws your way.
