Red Barn Matamata wedding

Michaela and Aaron were married at the Red Barn in Matamata – on a stunningly hot summer day.
On an afternoon scouting the day before the wedding, I was both surprised and stoked to come across a beautiful field of sunflowers – not every day you see that in NZ!!
The girls spent the morning at Michaela’s parents home in Hamilton, being pampered by always-fantastic Abbie Hartland makeup.
Then it was off to the Red Barn for their beautiful wedding ceremony underneath the oak tree, the sun was scorching by this point – and there was no need to encourage people to come in close (because everyone usually stands way back) – because forward was where the shade was!!
During the reception we were graced with THE MOST incredible sunset – just spectacular. After Michaela & Aaron finished their speeches, we raced out and captured some of the glorious redness in the skies.
It was a beautiful wedding – and this is only the tiniest little glimpse of how the photos are looking. There’s more than 600 still to follow!! Enjoy 🙂
