Stacey & Hamish decided to have a small, intimate, urban wedding in central Auckland.
Based around their love of good food and good wine, the requirements were basically “somewhere that doesn’t just do weddings all the time” and obviously, amazing food & wine.
Cue venue #1 – Pilkingtons. This awesome, tucked away little bar on Shortland Street has a perfect courtyard for wedding ceremonies, plus the inside is super awesome too, with beautiful big globe lights hanging from the roof. Plus – their food was to die for!
Hamish and his mates spent the morning racing jet sprint boats (fitting, considering Hamish is a sailor) – and the girls got ready at Hotel de Brett. Early in the afternoon, Hamish & Stacey met up there, and we went on a little photo walking tour of the central city – getting a few cool shots in various locations.
Then it was back to Pilkingtons where their guests were eagerly awaiting their arrival. A ceremony in the courtyard and boom – married!
After some wines and canapes in the sun, we all migrated down to venue #2 for the day – the private dining room at Ostro. Overlooking the harbour, Ostro is hands down one of the best spots to eat in the city. We all partied on throughout the evening – taking a break to pop down to Britomart for a few night shots.
