Foxglove Wellington Wedding

Diggy and Michelle LOVE the movies.  So it wasn’t too much of a surprise that their wedding was held at the Embassy Theatre!  During the ceremony, they even watched a compilation of some of their favourite movies on the big screen.  Definitely something worth getting the popcorn out for!

Diggy and Michelle are fun, humorous and will quite easily banter about nothing in particular!   They love their animals, so much so they have one each.  “Yours” and “Mine”! And it was nice to see those handkerchiefs come in so useful in the ceremony!! Good thinking Michelle! 😉

With their reception at the Foxglove on Queens’ Wharf, it meant we could keep everything nice & central – and make use of the fun downtown Wellington urban playground for some photos.
The film and photos we captured for them below is a reflection of who they are as a couple and their personality that oozed through their wedding day!  Enjoy.

On Michelle’s hens night, her friends & family wrote little messages of advice (in varying levels of propriety) – and the girls read them out to Michelle as she had her makeup done in the morning.
Some nice ‘awww’ moments, along with some hilarious laughs.


The boys kicked off their day with breakfast – followed by some chilled out Playstation time 🙂

Diggy & Michelle have a little soft toy each (a koala and a penguin) – who spent the morning watching them get ready.

Not sure if the whole ‘don’t hear from one another on the wedding morning’ applies to Snapchat or not?











Definitely the most comfortable guest seating arrangements we’ve seen for a wedding.





While the registry was signed – a clip screened on the projector – mashed up of many of their favourite movies. Think Princess Bride meets Jurassic Park, meets Star Wars, mashed in with the Sound of Music and LOTR. Then you have a rough idea of the level of awesomeness!


For their photos, we had a play in the cinema buildings – which have all sorts of gorgeous lighting & windows – and then went for a little wander through the city.




Diggy & Michelle both studied law at Victoria – so it was only fitting to squeeze Old Government House into the photos too!



This has to be one of the best ‘bouquet fights’ yet.
