Melissa and Nikhil spent years attending the same high school, but never really ran in the same circles. In Melissa’s words “I was a leader and he was a bit of a goofball and partier”. Fast forward a few years and Melissa and Nikhil crossed paths again on a dating app and quickly discovered that they had a lot in common. Their shared love of food and travel became the foundation of their relationship.

Nikhil says he knew it was love at first sight and Melissa says she ended up falling in love with his kind heart – although Nikhil still thinks it was his humour that did it.

Melissa told us she loves Nikhil’s positive energy and willingness to go the extra mile for her. His ability to get along with everyone and his relaxed demeanor bring balance to their relationship. Nikhil, on the other hand, admires Melissa’s dedication and organization in everything she does. Her gentleness and care for others make her shine.

Their garden wedding at Markovina Vineyard Estate was filled with so much love and happy tears. Melissa and Nikhil chose to include a tea ceremony to honour their families. This was such a lovely relaxed part of their day and had us grinning from ear to ear. After a few photos around the grounds at Markovina, we snuck off for a few sunset photos before hitting the dancefloor.
