Carl and Elaine’s wedding day at Markovina Vineyard Estate was full of emotion and so many happy tears.
Their day was not only a celebration of the two of them, but really felt like a whole family celebration – with their kids being a huge focal point of the day (read on to Carl’s favourite part of the day to find out more!)

It was a perfect summer day for their ceremony under the chestnut tree – the perfect garden backdrop.

We asked Carl and Elaine to share a bit about their day, and here’s what Carl said:

What is your favourite memory of the wedding day?

My favourite part of our day was when Elaine’s daughter asked me to adopt her at the ceremony, just before our vows. Elaine said she doesn’t have just one favourite part because she loved everything hahaha. That was also my biggest surprise and also both of us were surprised that all our boys did a haka for us people that haven’t even done a haka before but they all got together and did trainings prior to the wedding.

What’s your advice for future couples?

My advice for future couples would be not to stress to much beforehand, because once the day starts – it all falls into place nicely what ever happens, well its meant to be.
