Markovina Wedding

Amy and Allen’s families both immigrated to New Zealand within a year of each other, but their paths didn’t cross until they were both attending a social networking event many years later. Allen described their first date as “ok”, but neither of them were particularly convinced. After some encouragement from a friend – a second date was set up, and it was all go! Ten days later Allen met Amy’s mother, six months later they left for a Europe adventure and eleven months later they bought their first house together. And on a beautiful Autumn day at Markovina Vineyard Estate – they finally said their “I do’s”.

After their ceremony under the canopy of Autumn leaves, we were treated with some beautiful golden light for some photos with the bridal party. We snuck away to enjoy sunset at Muriwai beach just the three of us (and a few fishermen) – Amy and Allen were absolute troopers as we trekked through puddles and rock hopped our way around.
We finished up the night by heading back out to their ceremony spot – for one last epic night photo. I love how the same location can look completely different with just a bit of magic lighting.
