Chris & Lisa
Like so many good wedding stories these days – Chris and Lisa’s Kumeu wedding plans were forced to change and adapt as the dreaded C word kept us all on our toes. Originally planned to be a much bigger celebration, they decided to pare it back and go with just the essentials – their immediate family.
Lisa got ready on site, and I was immediately taken with the circular window at the end of the room. Having such a strong and interesting light source meant lots of opportunity to look for something a bit more unique. As you’ll see from the getting ready photos below – it works from all angles!
In keeping with the theme of last minute changes, an hour before go time – we realised that the wind was just way too crazy for an outdoor ceremony (the awesome arch they had chosen didn’t stand a chance!) so the call was made to move everything inside. The barrels made for an epic backdrop and instead of fighting with windswept hair and veils – everything was calm and intimate. A perfect outcome!
Chris and Lisa – thanks for trusting me to capture your wedding day. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you!
