When I asked Rob and Kate what it is that they love and admire about each other – they each spoke of the constant support they feel from the other. Rob is an eternal optimist who makes Kate feel like everything will be ok. Rob says that Kate is a loving, caring person who is always thinking of others and who prioritises her friends and family. When Rob proposed to Kate, it came as no surprise to their family and friends as, unable to contain his excitement, Rob had already told everyone else before asking Kate.
Their Kumeu Valley Estate wedding was on one of those rare perfect winter’s days. They had decided long ago not to count on the weather gods, so they created a beautiful indoor space for their ceremony. Snuggled in next to the fire, surrounded by candles – it was the perfect winter ceremony!
