Kumeu Valley Estate wedding photos

Claire & Dylan are based over in sunny Perth – but as many of their families are here in New Zealand, an Auckland wedding was on the cards. Of course, with an Auckland wedding comes typical Auckland “summer” weather… in this case, rain!
We were actually super lucky with the rain though – although it showered through the ceremony, Claire & Dylan still opted for the outdoor ceremony option and guests took shelter under their umbrellas – it was stunning!
Then, once we headed off for some photos around the local area, the rain eased up and completely stopped for the duration of the shoot. We had a bunch of completely indoor photo locations lined up just in case, but we were stoked to be able to use plan A and explore a cool little forest … plus a gorgeous field of bright orange flowers!
Claire’s dress got super wet on the grass during the ceremony, but these guys were total troopers – no request was too much! Climb this fence? Sure! Walk into this field of knee high wet grass?? No problem!
Of course, when you’re willing to be a bit adventurous – that always results in the most awesome photos.
