Kumeu Valley Estate Wedding Photos

When James and Ellesha got married a few weeks ago – they had officially been together for 12 years!
They met in High School – Ellesha says “James was this kind of uncool farm-boy with a heart of gold, who didn’t even own a pair of jeans. He was smart and interesting, and I was instantly drawn to him. I like to think of myself as the cool city girl who saved him from his fashion faux-pas and won his heart”. James says that although Ellesha is shy on the surface, underneath she is smart and witty and they have so much in common.

Their July wedding meant that the weather was always going to be a bit of a gamble, so I was prepared with umbrellas, camera rain protection and had Plan B well and truly sorted for their photoshoot – the one thing I wasn’t expecting was a perfect sunny day! We adventured out pre-ceremony to make the most of the afternoon light, before gathering together in front of Kumeu Valley’s fireplace for the most relaxed, funny and heartfelt ceremony I have witnessed in a long time!
Afterwards, we jumped in the car and headed for the hills. The sun decided to sneak through the clouds just at the right moment. I was so excited by the epic epic light – that I didn’t really notice that we had gathered an audience. (You’ll see what I mean soon!) Luckily, James and Ellesha took everything in their stride and weren’t even a little phased.
