Justin and Cyndi’s first meeting was – in Cyndi’s words “an unfortunate event”. Both being paramedics – they met on a job.
Exactly four years later (to the day) they celebrated a much happier occasion – their wedding day!
Earlier in the morning I overheard Cyndi telling her girls that Justin – being the analytical type, had already figured out her stealthily bought wedding gift, by entering the size and weight of the wrapped gift into a “gift calculator” which had given him the exact correct answer – a toolbox! Lucky man.
Justin wasn’t the only spoilt one – Cyndi giggled as she opened her jewellers box and during the speeches, we all found out the story behind this.
In the months leading up to their engagement and sensing that Cyndi was anticipating a proposal – Justin had tormented her for weeks with empty and decoy jewellery boxes at every opportunity, before he finally popped the question.
The rain threatened, giving us the perfect stormy sky to play with, but magically held off completely. The perfect day.
