Gothenburg Restaurant Wedding

When I first met Deanna and Rhuari they hadn’t quite decided on a wedding venue. They were tossing up going with a traditional wedding venue or something a bit different. I’m thrilled to report that they decided to go with a slightly less traditional venue and it could not have been more perfect for them.
Rhuari and Deanna’s wedding was only the second to be held at the wonderful Gothenburg restaurant – and I have a feeling it’s going to become very popular! Tucked away on the banks of the Waikato with the river as a backdrop – it is a pretty stunning setting.
And then there’s the food. I don’t even think I have the words for how good the food is – I think you’ll just have to head along and try it for yourself.
After the ceremony, we stayed close by with the bridal party before sneaking Rhuari and Deanna away to the Hamilton Gardens for a few photos. It has been so many years since we were there, so it was cool to see our old haunt with fresh photographers eyes. Rhuari even told my that his parents had their wedding photos there!
After a quick practice of their first dance, we raced back to the reception (did I mention the food?!) in time for some epic speeches that had everyone in alternating tears and laughter.
