The day Arlene and Aaron got married, there was perhaps the craziest summer storm of the year.
The roads in to Puka Park in Pauanui were flooding and as Arlene sat calmly outside under the balcony getting her makeup done, there was torrential rain, thunder and lightning all around her. Talk about dramatic!
However – like magic – the rain stopped just as we needed it to, and we were able to head down to Pauanui Beach for some photos and make the most of the amazing atmosphere the storm left behind. Moody skies, clouds around the hills, and the most perfect light – we couldn’t have asked for better.
The day before Aaron and Arlene and their amazing crew had worked tirelessly to transform the reception room at Puka Park – it looked absolutely stunning!
Their dance floor was hit, with musician Phil Madsen leading the charge and had everyone on their feet and partying.
Aaron and Arlene, thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of your wedding day – It was such a pleasure getting to know you guys! Looking forward to showing your more photos soon!
