Megan & Isaac were married at Christ the King church in Mount Roskill, for our first wedding of 2020!
There were so many strong emotions throughout the day – in the morning Megan phoned her grandmother overseas to let her know she was about to go and get married, it was such a powerful moment.
At each of the houses, the family came over in the morning before church to give Megan and Isaac a blessing. You really could tell that they’re surrounded with love and support from the people around them.
Throughout the ceremony (and the rest of the day) it was apparent that their faith plays a huge role in their lives, so the church that brought them together was the perfect setting to begin their married life.
Afterwards, we stopped en-route to Markovina for some photos in the forest – beautiful soft light punctuated by the odd splash of sunshine breaking through the clouds. Megan especially wanted a sneaky ‘underneath the veil’ shot, and we’re glad she did – it looks stunning.
Back at Markovina, we rejoined the bridal party and guests for a few more photos using the fantastic grounds on-site… and then shortly after their entrance into the reception, the guests were led out onto the lawn for the ‘grand march’ – a cool cultural tradition that we experienced for the first time.
The night rolled along perfectly, everyone danced their hearts out and partied hard – and wrapping things up with a sparkler send-off was the most fairytale finish you could hope for!
