Auckland Urban engagement shoot

JJ & Robyn came to us with a pretty cool story.
They met back while they were at school – at Avondale College. This was where their story began, and JJ made sure he found ways to interweave the school connection through into the wedding.
He went back to Avondale College, and filmed a bunch of places they used to hang out. The place where they met. The spots they used to go to. The dairy that they used to visit. Then – using this epic video he prepared of their love-story, he proposed to Robyn.
So it was only natural that for their engagement shoot, we based it at Avondale College. It was actually a really fun challenge – how can we make a school (funnily enough, MY old school too!) look super awesome?
A bit of nearby location scouting – and some cool lighting setups – meant that we were able to really do justice to their story!
I don’t remember Avondale looking THIS cool when I was a student there, that’s for sure!
These guys were just the cutest, so many smiles and laughs. We had the best time just hanging out together – and it means the wedding day will be a total breeze!
