Aitutaki wedding photos

We’ve just touched back down in Auckland from an epic trip over to the Cook Islands – where Pete – our amazing cinematographer, and his gorgeous wife Mel were married.
Being ‘guest-ographers’ is a unique privilege – not only do we get to witness the wedding of our friends & colleague… but we get unrestricted access to them all day – something that most guests don’t have. So it’s really the best of both worlds!!
After arriving in Raro, we flew over to the pristine island of Aitutaki – with a weather forecast for rain looming on the horizon.
Sure enough, a couple of hours before the ceremony the heavens opened – apparently that’s the first rain Aitutaki has had in the last 3 months!
We even managed a little break in the weather for a few shots on the beach with the most impossibly turquoise water – and followed this up with a few post-wedding shots once we were back in Raro a few days later and the rain had cleared up.

Mel & Pete – you guys were the most chilled, relaxed couple ever – and it totally shines through in your photos!
Thanks so much for not worrying about the rain, for being committed to having the best day ever, and for being such awesome people.
