2016 AIPP Video Awards

Making films about people getting married is a pretty cool job. Over the last 8 years, we’ve filmed hundreds of weddings, meet so many amazing people and been to some pretty incredible places. As a creative company, we’ve always wanted to push the envelope with the stories we tell and how wedding videos are perceived. But like a sportsperson, you don’t really know where you stand until you’re in competition with others!

Unfortunately, New Zealand doesn’t have a national wedding videography competition, so I thought I’d try my luck entering the Australian AIPP Video Awards instead! This was the first time entering a competition like this so I had no idea how it would go.

I decided to enter 5 films in 4 different categories and see how I faired. And as it turns out I did ok!! All 5 films achieved Silver Awards. And two films were 1 point off Silver Distinction! Arrrghh!
